Through out this book, the setting hasn’t really changed. The story takes place for the most part at
Alice’s’ house and at her school. The story never reveals the name of the town or the state that they live in but it seems like a small town. the only thing is is that when ever it seems like they are going to say the name of the town or the state, they don’t, they talk about something totally different. well the story has mentioned one thing about the setting and that was when they were talking about the homecoming dance and one of Alice’s’ friends was talking about her boyfriend coming into town and that he lived in Philadelphia so they must live somewhere near Philadelphia. the setting doesn’t really have an effect on Alice or any of the other characters which is a good thing. i think that if there was a dynamic change in the setting, it wouldn’t be a good idea. Alice goes through a lot in this book and I think that if anything else happened to
Alice and it wasn’t for the better of her life and future, it would be a total disaster. i think the only person that the setting might have had an impact on would have to be
Alice’s father. Although the setting hasn’t really changed, it has a little bit.
Alice has this new boyfriend and her father is kind of scared because of some of the things her brother did when he was her age. But for the most part, the setting hasn’t had a big, major change.
