“Well s’apose, jus’ s’apose he don’t come back. What’ll you do then?” i think this is kind of a sad passasge because Crooks is trying to scare Lennie into thinking that George isn’t comming back. why would a friend do that? thats kind of mean because he already gets really scared when goerge isn’t around. telling him that George might never come back will just scare him more. he might even think about running away. i also think that maybe crooks was just saying that to see what kind of a guy he is. is he a strong guy at heart as well as physically or is he only physically strong? however, if crooks was really trying to scare Lennie he probably accomplished it.

December 6, 2006Movie vs Story
November 20, 2006In the movie, John Steinback writes about him and his family and the troublesome they go through. first they get kicked out of their house and their land gets taken away from them. there are many people in the family in the movie and they do a great job of surviving with the little money and food that they do have. i thnk that it would be very hard to have lived the life back then. i dont think i would have been able to stand starving my self or even being kicked out of my own house and off my own property. the oldest daughter is very couragous when she agrees to nurse the old man that is starving to death.
